This body of work focuses on rare books housed
in the Special Collections and Archives at Ellis
Library, University of Missouri-Columbia. Using a
4x5 large-format camera, I captured black-and-
white images on film, later scanned for digital
presentation. Color photographs were taken
with a digital camera. The resulting images
present each book as a fossil-like sculpture—
timeless, fragile, and resilient—highlighting their
physical presence and enduring historical
significance.
